The position holds the responsible to lead and manage the Logistics program across Asia Pacific plants. Requires working closely with site logistics team and freight forwarders in each region, ensuring shipments meeting operation’s needs. Will be the point of escalation for resolution and strive for improvement in cost and service performance. Additionally, may be required to support Trade compliance program on import and export subject matters.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Works with sites logistics team to ensure shipment meets operation needs and monitor freight forwarders performance.
  • Acts as point of escalation to resolve freight issues in AP. Ensure freight forwarder corrective and preventive action is effective.
  • Conducts regular performance review with freight forwarders at AP level.
  • Monitors AP sites freight cost and lead site team on improvement projects (mode shift, service level shift, consolidation, leakages etc).
  • Supports mode team in AP by gathering business unit requirements (volume, transit time, service failure etc) for E-sourcing event.
  • Leads change management with new forwarders for the different modes (air freight, ocean freight, small parcel and ground).
  • Works with Trade Compliance team on import and export procedures in accordance to regulatory requirements. Provide support in Trade Compliance program.

Job Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years’ experience with logistics industry.
  • Project management experience.
  • Familiar with import/export activities and customs procedures.
