    Our client is a public-listed MNC and industry leader in the consumer electronics space. With a strong global presence across numerous countries, their deep-rooted expertise in electronics & technology has propelled them to be a key player within the industry.

    They are currently looking for a Country Manager to help set up their operations in Malaysia.

    Job Description

    The Country Manager will be responsible to help set up the operations in Malaysia and will be the focal point for overall Operations & Supply Chain activities besides overseeing & managing the Contract Manufacturers & Suppliers in Malaysia. Amongst the many responsibilities some are listed below:
    • Ensure the right KPIs, solutions, processes & business decisions are implemented to Contract Manufacturers & Suppliers to ensure effective delivery at the optimum cost and is within quality specifications
    • Enhance manufacturing performances (LEAN), supply chain efficiency, and ensure product quality as per the company standards and specifications
    • Explore opportunities to reduce delivery lead time
    • Developing & implementing the right SOPs, Standard Testing Procedures (Process Testing & Final Product Testing)
    • Evaluate root cause of quality issues, develop and implement quality corrective actions to constantly improve product quality
    • Collaborating with regional team to continuously improve costing structure and ensure a win-win and profitable business relationship between the company & Contract Manufacturers
    • Identify & drive cost saving initiatives in product design, manufacturing process, logistics flow and other business process.
    • Build & maintain a good business relationship with key suppliers and constantly evaluate their performance
    • Support the procurement team in developing and executing raw material cost reduction projects
    • Represent Contract Manufacturers in New Product Introduction throughout the development cycle
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and the best practice sharing among Contract Manufacturers
    • Assist the Test Engineering team in identifying local test station and automated assembly station suppliers


    The Successful Applicant

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering /Science/ Supply Chain or other relevant disciplines
    • At least 8-10 years of leadership experience
    • Prior experience in managing Contract Manufacturers
    • Good commercial acumen, business partnering, analytical thinking and stakeholder management abilities
    • Ability to work in a fast pace & results-oriented environment
    • Excellent communication skills (English, Mandarin & Bahasa Melayu)
