The incumbent is responsible on maximizing revenue, minimizing credit risk and developing sound customer and stake-holder relationships. This incumbent will be reporting to National Credit Manager. This position is based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
Responsibilities
  • Provide high standard of credit analysis to ensure new and existing customers are analysed and reviewed in accordance with IM credit policy guidelines with appropriate sign off as per credit limit approval matrix and (soft) customer files are complete
  • Assess commercial risk of new applications & reviewing existing customers in view to grant, credit and/or increase and/or reduction of credit limit facilities.
  • Monitor and manage temporary credit and insured limits.
  • Knowledge of mercantile reports such as Equifax and PPSR register. Customer files are to include MKL denial, credit application form, CSM and limit endorsement supported by most recent financials.
  • Manage limit request with Atradius (via online portal, Atrium).
  • Prepare weekly bad debt forecasting and monthly reports for local and global management following the stipulated schedule.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the National Credit Manager as well as ad-hoc assistance to Manila based credit team and Global risk team with all functions related to but not limited to credit risk management.
  • Investigate customer information including name, contact information, and corporate and bank references.
  • Respond to credit inquiries from internal and external customers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Identify customer accounts that are to be transferred to collection agency.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial services or similar industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related may be used as a proxy for the experience.
  • Acquire and interpret clients’ profit and loss account, balance sheet and any other financial reports furnished, to ascertain the profitability, financial position, cash flows for credit decisioning.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office application including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks
  • Analytical in assessing risk
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience with using large ERP system – preferably SAP
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work individually and as a team member
