The Financial Analyst will be based in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The position is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports in support of business needs.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Involve in forecasting process which including preparation of necessary supporting documentation and justification for management review
  • Prepares monthly detailed financial analysis and reporting on financial position and performance at the project and site level.
  • Advises operation management on operational adjustments, efficiency improvements, identifying trends and recommends improvements accordingly in relation to cost saving or profit generating opportunities.
  • Involve in preparation of economic reports on ad-hoc projects or assignments such as CAPEX justification, rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities and performance
  • Involve in month end; quarter end and year end finance closing activities
  • Review and approve Purchase Requisition in aQuire
  • Liaise with ARMS and external auditor for SOx, US GAAP and local statutory audit activities
  • Involve in preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations which including M2 and 3.05 reporting for critical accounts
  • Involve in the preparation of presentations including Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual budgets and long-term strategic planning initiatives.

Here is some of what you’ll need:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master’s Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): Malaysian GAAP, US GAAP.
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Junior candidate with good academic record can be considered.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA/CA/CPA is an added advantage
  • Fluent English with excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Must be computer literate (strong Excel skills).
  • Knowledge in BaaN and related ERP systems would be an added advantage.
