Position : FTTH & Fiber Planner
Company Industry : Telecommunication
Working Location : Subang Hi-tech Industrial Park, Subang Jaya, Selangor
Working Duration : 12 months contract with PERSOLKELLY
Requirements :
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • FTTH (Fiber to the Home)/GPON Experience
  • 8-10 years of working experience in Fiber Planning & Design.
  • Can fully utilize planning tools (like MapInfo, Google earth, Visio)
  • Good knowledge on optical power loss.
Overall Responsibility :
  • GPON Network capacity/performance monitoring.
  • In depth knowledge of FTTx solutions and architecture.
  • Outside Plant detailed (OSP) design of physical fiber optics network based on Access transmission planners’ requirements for coverage, capacity, and redundancy.
  • Responsible to make sure the physical fiber route as per equipment topology requirement. (IPRAN, DWDM, FTN, MW)
  • Prepares the work package (Scope of work) to share with implementation team & contractor.
  • Reviews summary sheet for FTTH OSP cabling requirements ensuring FTTH OSP capacities are figured adequately and accurately for the assigned project.
  • Manage the Handover of FTTH OSP systems from the System Integrator and assuring design has been fulfilled and quality required has been achieved.
  • Plans and prepares drawings in Visio/MapInfo/Google earth for implementation of new, and removal or rearrangement of existing, overhead or underground routes, cables, and infra to obtain optimum and economical utilization of communications facilities.
  • Involve in Technical proposal and BOM review & approval
  • Database owner for all fibre / FTTH related information
  • Work closely with fibre implementation & migration team to achieve E2E delivery as targeted.
