We are a growing licensed unit trust management company and asset management company and are seeking to employ a Head of Unit Trust to manage our collective scheme business. The Company is also an Institutional Unit Trust Adviser (IUTA) and is involved in the distribution of third-party unit trust funds.

The Company has over twenty years of operating history. It has a culture of openness, teamwork and building consensus. It is expanding and wishes to hire a suitable candidate who is able to drive sales, recruitment and other growth initiatives in the Unit Trust Department. The ideal candidate is a dynamic professional who is interested in a leadership role and an opportunity to build and grow a unit trust business.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and oversight of the Company’s unit trust business.
  • Achievement of sales targets set by the Company.
  • Ability to organise and/or drive the recruitment of sales personnel and consultants.
  • To recommend and assist the Company in implementing new unit trust products.
  • Oversight of sales, client servicing and marketing functions.
  • Expand the Company’s IUTA platform.
  • Ensure the activities of the department fully adhere to Industry Guidelines and Compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years experience in the Unit Trust Industry with a strong knowledge of unit trust products, sales and marketing processes.
  • Familiarity with Industry Guidelines issued by regulators such as Securities Commission and FIMM.
  • Experience in managing sales teams.
  • Articulate in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia and has good writing skills.
  • Previous experience as a Manager overseeing a team of professionals or department.

Education/ professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, marketing, economics business administration and/or other relevant disciplines.
  • Licensed by Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM) and/or Securities Commission.
