  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies, prospecting and follow up methodology.
  • Achieve personal/team sales targets by negotiating and closing deals.
  • Servicing existing customers, generate and develop new customer accounts, follow-up and maintain good relationships with customers.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential businesses and evaluate customers’ needs.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current market information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, customer service levels etc.
  • Handle customer enquiries and/or complaints promptly, investigate problems and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Inventory management to ensure sufficient stocks to support sales.
  • Compile reports on overall customer satisfaction, preparing sales reports and make recommendations to management where necessary.
  • Liaise with sales team, production and any other related departments to ensure smooth work operation and that customers’ requests and satisfaction are met.


  • Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, Chemistry or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience in similar capacity, preferably in the coatings, rubber, plastic and/or dip latex industries.
  • A strategic & analytical thinker with the ability to interpret sales information & translate into business strategies.
  • Possess a strong sense of responsibility, urgency and commitment to efficiently meet deadlines.
  • Results oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia – both written and verbal.
  • Good presentation skills, and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Possess effective leadership, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Possess a strong teamwork mindset, able to work with all levels of employees
  • Possess a pro-active character for continuous improvement and changes relating to sales operations.
  • Committed to work efficiency & effectiveness
  • Computer literate and has knowledge of MS Office, familiar with SAP system is an added advantage.
  • Possess own vehicle and willing to travel as and when required.
