PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As part of our company initiatives to generate continuous value to our customers through software that truly delivers business outcomes.

• Lead, manage and hands on in machine software control on R&D projects and solution development.

• Conducts research or development projects associated with the design and modifications of vending machines and supporting system.

• Evaluate and monitor R&D staffs’ projects progress and completion.

• Prepares and coordinates any product design documentations, Risk Analysis, Product Specifications, User Needs, etc.

• Responsible for remediation and updates of all R&D projects, technical documentations or other product registration efforts as required.

• Develops, maintains and publishes product Development Plans for assigned projects with targets and timelines.

• Coordinates the product design and development process with appropriate departments such as production, marketing, operation and engineering support.

• Assigns project leaders for assigned projects and responsible to follow up on all aspects of projects, including reviews with support groups and outside resources where applicable.

• Ensures staff prepares or follows up on preparation of design drawings, specifications, estimates of costs, system updates, etc.

• Discusses and consults with sales, etc. on product requirements and specifications where design or manufacturing problems are involved.

• Works with manufacturing in the justification and the selection of the manufacturing process.

• Reporting to management on all projects status, which include cost reduction, capital spending and expense status. Reports via electronic systems as appropriate.

• Mentor for junior level employees.

• Demonstrates professional responsibilities by cooperating with other personnel to achieve objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental objectives.

• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in R&D related environment, two (2) years of which been in a leader capacity in the appropriate specialty. Recent Backend Software Development and mobile apps experience is mandatory.

• Possession of MS or BS degree in programming or closely related field. Possession of specific degree may be substituted by equivalent work experience in the design and/or modification of backend system in IoT, Smart automation and Cloud servers system.

• Product management and R&D experience.

• Degree or Master Degree in Engineering or Science in Electronics/ Electrical/ Mechatronics/ Computer.

• Strong in software programming and electronics/electrical design.

• Well versed in various programming language.

• Significant hands-on experience and understanding of software and electrical engineering designs and development.

• Strong background in data analysis is an added advantage.

• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Manage Development Engineers and Project Teams effectively

• Demonstrate creativity and ingenuity in applying engineering principles and practices. Draw solutions from a wide range of experience. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Effectively present information to managements, clients, customers, and the general public. Interface effectively with Operations Management to prioritize and support customer’s priorities.

• Develop project and departmental budgets and schedules and provide monthly reporting.

• Conduct Personnel Evaluations for direct reports, recommend employee actions for direct reports. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with external customers and users.

• Fluency in English is required. Excellent writing and communicator.

• Strong presentation skills, including the ability to listen well to customer needs and the ability to translate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences of all levels of an organization.
