What is PPI?

PPI stands for Pre & Post Interface processing. It is the system that interfaces between SuperSiras/DASS and all applicable downstream, Shell and non-Shell, systems like GSAP, Cards-MI, Vantive, Card Production and Print-Fulfilment. PPI is the middleware for SuperSiras/DASS and processes interfaces by validating the file, processing and then outputting the file.
PPI is running on a Unix (IBM AIX) based system and using Oracle 10g database software including Forms and Reports. Scheduling is implemented using an in-house developed tool called Autopilot. File transfers are executed using an in-house developed tool called MailBox. The Mailbox application uses a cross-platform software package from IBM called Connect: Direct (C:D) and SFTP interfaces.
PPI Interfaces:
Currently there are 27 Operational Units (OU)s in the Shell Cards Project. There are 2 main interface types, generic and country specific. A generic interface will be used by potentially all of the OUs where a country specific interface is developed to meet the requirement of a single OU.
Skills Required:

Key Skills:

A good working knowledge of UNIX knowledge (AIX preferred)
Scripting knowledge in ksh, perl
Experience with ftp/sftp, public/private key exchange
Oracle 10/11/12 including Oracle Application Server (Forms and Reports 6)
Sqlplus/Toad / other schema browsing tools
A good understanding of Oracle concepts, tables, indexes, constraints, triggers, packages
Willing to provide on-call support and align working hours with the client’s time-zone.
Additional Skills Desired:
Remedy experience
Sharepoint for documentation
Connect-Direct for sftp transfers
Application support experience in a global company
Requirements of the role:

The role involves the day to day running of the PPI system including:
• Monitoring team mailbox/Remedy for incoming requests or incidents.
• Daily operational checks to ensure the health of the PPI environment
• Investigation of issues and implementation of solutions
• Providing support to both internal and external customers
• Being involved in technical discussions regarding new developments and upgrades
• Releasing new software into the PPI environment
• Development of scripts for work automation
• Configuration of the PPI environment for new interfaces
• Liaising with UNIX system admin/Oracle DBA for issue resolution
• Supporting the system on a rota basis for P1 “out of hours” on-call issues
• Performing refreshes of the Oracle environments
• Providing SOX evidence for audit purposes
• Oracle user administration for PPI users
Qualifications :
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Required language(s): English
  • At least 9 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Bangsar South.
  • Preferably Senior Executives specializing in IT/Computer - Software or equivalent.
