Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

What are you accountable for?
  • To bring in VSAT sales from new projects/customers from the SME segment either independently or via partners.
  • To manage existing VSAT customers from the SME segment to ensure minimal churn and grow the respective accounts where possible.
  • To identify businesses and government/State government agencies/GLCs with potential requirements for VSAT and work with the respective Corporate& Govt Account Managers to secure these deals.
  • To manage and support existing & new VSAT partners in the region, especially in East Malaysia.
  • Business development to create new VSAT sales and opportunities.
  • To work closely with the VSAT Product Manager to provide feedback on the market requirements in order to craft segment specific VSAT packages for successful execution ofgo-to-market propositions.
  • To work cross-functionally with other departments in Maxis to ensure the timely implementation of new VSAT sites as well as timely resolution of faults and feedback to customers on complaints and inquiries.
  • What do you need to have for this role?
  • 6-10 years of working experience, 4-5 years of relevant experience
  • Has Telco backgorund
  • Excellent interpersonal & sales skills.
  • Pleasant personality and able to interact well with all levels of management.
  • Proven sales experience especially in dealing with the government & corporate sector, especially the plantation/forestry sector.
  • Knowledge on VSAT products and services.
  • Good grasp of VSAT market requirements
  • Strong marketing and business acumen to be able to foresee and address new opportunities with the changing market requirements.
